On August 20, Abakan, Inc. (ABKI) announced initiating a private placing of up to 18,750,000 shares of its restricted common stock at a price of $0.40 per share. ABKI stated that it expects to raise up to $7,5 million in proceeds. The private placement is scheduled to close on September 15.

Yesterday evening, Genius Brands International, Inc. (GNUS) issued an 8-K report in which the company reported reaching an agreement with SunTrust Bank.
